Sending & reading messages

Our messenger is designed to help you communicate with colleagues. It is intended to facilitate two types of conversations, including messages between:

  • Formally introduced members: These are members you have been strategically introduced to by our introduction algorithm. These members may use the messenger in addition to any personal/professional emails and (or) phone numbers shared by our system.
  • Non-formally introduced members: These are members you have NOT been strategically introduced to, but are following-up with concerning a Lead Post. The messenger will facilitate limited communication without exchanging personal/professional contact information.

Let’s begin by drafting a New Message to a colleague you have just been introduced to. You can access the massager in two ways.

Sending a message from the Intro Tab:

  1. Select the Intros Tab from the task bar
  2. Click on the Name of the colleague you wish to message, this will open their profile
  3. Select the Contact button below their list of skills
  4. Choose the Message option to open the Messenger window.
  5. Use the text box to draft your message. You can also use the paperclip icon to upload any attachments with your note.
  6. When you are finished drafting your message, click the Send Button!

Helpful reminder: When the massager window opens it will pre-select the name of the colleague whose profile you were viewing. Make sure you always double-check you are messaging the correct recipient!

  4. When you are finished drafting your message, click the Send Button!

From time to time you may receive messages from fellow members. These messages will be made accessible from the platform and your preferred email address.

Note: If you do receive a message from a fellow member, please follow-up as soon as possible.
